It was a wonderful feeling that 1300 bags were packed. When I heard the number, I was feeling that all the work done is going to feed the hunger of many families. It is always satisfying to serve at this kind of activity

I enjoyed the experience. Though the task was continuous, I was aware the whole time. This was great. There was a “satisfaction” which was beautiful. I am looking forward for the next volunteering activity.

Thank you dear friends for participating in the Second Harvest Food Bank volunteer activity. It was a nice way to spend a weekend morning by doing voluntary work with friends. It was sad to see that so many people are out there, needing food. At the same time I was happy to see that so many people showed up for the volunteer activity and so much of food was donated. It was nice to see parents bringing their children for the voluntary work as well. We were continuously bagging food for 2 ½ hours and it was tiring. But after I heard the number of bags we packed I was filled with happiness that it is going feed that many families.

Volunteer activity was pretty good. I had fun and learned a lot about the different kinds of food. I enjoyed the volunteer activity and came to know about it now. People are giving their helping hand by donations and through voluntary work.
