Sacred Heart Community Service [SHCS] is a non profit organization which is dedicated to bringing our community together to address poverty in Silicon Valley. Through a comprehensive array of resources, services, and community involvement initiatives, SHCS is making a real impact in the lives of working poor families. [1]
Service is an important aspect of D2D. We volunteer at Sacred Heart Community Service in our effort to serve the needy. For this volunteering, we collect donations from people and sort them accordingly.

Salvation Army is a church and an international charitable organization which focus on doing good for the people in need. They provide different services like Family Support, Homelessness support, Youth and senior services. [1]
D2D focusses on serving food to the needy. We appreciate and volunteer at the Salvation Army – Emmanuel house services where they provide food for the homeless people every weekend. As volunteers we get to cook and serve people in person in this volunteering event. The volunteering event was on Sunday 12th October, 2014 from 3PM to 6PM.

Second Harvest Food Bank is a trusted leader dedicated to ending local hunger in many counties across United States. They distribute nutritious food to low income people in need through direct service programs and by collaborating with other non-profit agencies. [1]
D2D volunteers with SHFB as part of providing food for those in need. In this volunteering, we sorted the good tomatoes from the bad ones and packed them for distribution. Check the photos and comments from the participants below.

Bay Area food pantries struggle to provide nutritious food for the local homeless and low-income population. The Almost Eden Garden Project grows premium-quality organic produce for several local organizations that provide meals and services for homeless and low-income families. It strives to grow quality produce organically and sustainably. It grows vegetables like collards, kale, Swiss chard, tomatoes, cucumbers etc and flowers. [1]
This D2D volunteer event is to serve Almost Eden Garden Project in a small way possible for us through activities like watering, pruning, harvesting and other activities as needed. Check below for the experience of participants through comments and photos.

This Volunteer event is to help Darshan2Divinity (D2D) with some of their organizational needs. Some of the activities are reviewing books, collecting information about a particular thing from internet, testing the working of website and some data entry activities. In this volunteering, we reviewed the Bhagavad Gita books for alignment, grammar and uniformity of presentation across chapters.
