Spruce Up the Heritage Rose Gardens – San Jose

This activity in related to organic farming. We are volunteering here to collect the vegetables that were grown by this farm, prepare the compost and beds for the plants.

    The volunteering activity was good. The garden looked somewhat dry as this is not the season. The result of the care taken today will be seen later. The Sun’s heat was a challenge though 🙂

    Volunteering at “Spruce up the Heritage Rose Gardens” was very nice. Doing volunteer activity at garden which has more than 3000 varieties of roses, made me feel soul satisfying that I’ve helped my part in growing the garden. It was surprising that the garden is maintained majorly by volunteers only. Though it was sunny and hot that day I’ve completely enjoyed the 1.5 hours of volunteer work done.
