Volunteering at Family Supportive Housing
Family Supportive Housing provides a full spectrum of services to hundreds of people for whom overcoming poverty, hunger, and homelessness is a daily struggle.[http://familysupportivehousing.org/]
This activity involves working with kids and help them express their creativity through arts. Some of the activities are painting a T-shirt, building light house etc. Check out the photos and comments below from the participants about their experience.

It was very satisfying and enriching. Cooking food and serving for others is something I very much enjoy. Glad I was able to be a part of the activity today. I enjoyed making pasta for others.

I had good experience today. I enjoyed cooking food for annadanam. It gave me a great satisfaction. Hopefully it helped the homeless people too. I liked camaraderie among D2D volunteers

The activity was very good. I did enjoy a lot. I have enjoyed preparing veggie patties.

The volunteer activity was good. We made veggie burgers, French fries and pasta today. I enjoyed working together and making burger and cutting tomatoes.

Today’s volunteer activity was good. I liked the aspect working together as group. After long time I participated in volunteer activity and I felt great. I had very nice experience today.

It is a good volunteer activity. I enjoyed my volunteer experience. Good planning and time management. I would like to participate again.

I enjoyed today’s volunteer activity. I like to cook and serve food. Family supportive housing provides shelter for homeless families. We cooked and served food for them. I felt happy when people said thanks for the food they received. I want to thank Guru and our team members for giving me this opportunity.
